Grilo announced himself on the Matchroom scene at the 2023 Spanish Open, defeating UK Open semi-finalist Petri Makkonen and 2021 World Pool Master Alex Kazakis to finish in the last 16. That run gave him a platform on the TV Major stage and the Portuguese have shown no sign of looking back.
