The next generation of pro pool stars showcased their talent and potential to the world on Friday as the inaugural Saudi Junior Championship final took center stage at the Green Halls, Jeddah.

A brand-new invitational event, the Saudi Junior Championship is dedicated to promoting rising stars, providing a platform for them to gain experience against top young amateurs.

Running alongside the 2024 World Pool Championship, the final saw Felix Vogel of Germany clinch the title. The 16-year-old defeated Ivan Rudenko 9-4, becoming the first-ever winner.

The Saudi Junior Championship will feature alongside the World Pool Championship for the next decade.

Meanwhile, the penultimate day of the 2024 world championship determined the semi-final line-up.

2019 champion Fedor Ghost remains on track for a second title, reaching the semi-finals with back-to-back victories.

Here's a breakdown of the upcoming semi-finals:

  • Fedor Ghost (2nd seed) vs. Wojciech Szewczyk
  • Eklent Kaci (13th seed) vs. Johann Chua

Both semi-finals will be played on Saturday afternoon ("Race to 11"). The victors will then face off in the final ("Race to 15") to determine the champion.
